Whether you’re a long-distance backpacker or a weekend warrior, this presentation will inspire and help prepare you to visit the Pacific Northwest Trail! Through a multimedia presentation, we will explore this exceptionally wild and rugged trail. At its Eastern terminus, the PNT begins near the Continental Divide in Glacier National Park and travels through Montana, Idaho, and Washington, before reaching its Western terminus at the Pacific Ocean in Olympic National Park. The trail is used by backpackers, hikers, runners, equestrians and cyclists (where permitted). We will also learn about what makes the PNT worth exploring and worth preserving. We’ll discuss some of the 40 year history of the PNT and what’s happening today as the Pacific Northwest Trail Association works to improve this exceptional 1200 mile route. Please join, PNTA staff member and seven thousand mile thru-hiker, Eric Wollborg for a multimedia presentation about the Pacific Northwest Trail.
